Allison Cara Tolman is an American actress from America. The role she played as Molly Solverson, in season one of FX's Fargo TV show has earned her nominations for Emmy and Golden Globe. Education and early life Tolman has two older brothers as well as a younger sister. Family members moved to England into Sugar Land in Texas when Tolman was just a baby. Tolman was praised for her performance as Minnesota the policeman Molly Solverson. Vanity Fair reported it was clear that Tolman, "calmly" and "assuredly" took over the show. In recognition of her performance, she received the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Movie/Miniseries and also received Best Actress nominations at the Emmy Awards and for the Golden Globes. That following season, the news also that it was announced Tolman will be playing a double appearance on the Mindy Project as Abby Berman, a romance writer. In 2015, her supporting character was on Michael Dougherty's film, horror-film Krampus. After her breakthrough role on Fargo, Tolman declined several supporting parts as mothers or wives as well as best friends, looking for an unusual character. In the year 2017, Tolman starred in ABC's Downward Dog, based on the Animal Media Group web series that was cancelled after one season.
